Xiaomi Mi3 spotted with Android 6.0 Marshmallow

android 6 marshmallow

We are all waiting eagerly for a sweet taste of Marshmallow to land on our phones, but it could be Xiaomi Mi3 owners who get the first bite.

Over on Weibo photos of the previous Xiaomi Mi3 flagship have been published running Android 6.0, this is pretty exciting for Xiaomi owners as Google only officially released the ROM a short while ago.

Gizchina News of the week

The Xiaomi Mi3 is still a great phone and gets a lot of attention from the development world so it comes as not much of a shock that it could be one of the first to get the latest Android build. As far as we can tell this is still an experimental build and isn’t available to everyone yet, so we will have to wait for a public release to be made available to say how well it runs.

If the Mi3 is the first, then which Android phone will be next? Will be be another Xiaomi device, or will OnePlus get in on the action?

You’re absolutely right! Mine’s still working great. Raw pictures with Mi2Raw, 4K video with cinema FV 1.31. Great build quality and superb screen. Even if I buy another phone I’ll keep it.

Have it like 1 year and 10 months and it fell on the ground flat on it’s face like a thousand times and gets away with just scratches.
And the display quality is still superb like the battery but I don’t need to tell u cause u know already

Hey, Google, if you read this, stop making white background and black text. Or if you want it that badly, just give the rest of the world the option to invert those.

I am pretty sure battery drain would be less on a black screen with white text also. Just saying…

there used to be black mode in marshmallow dev preview, but it’s gone…btw you can use layers manager on playstore and install dark/black layer such as synergy or inversion

His current plan (as written on his weibo account) is to get android 6 on mi3/4 first and after that he’ll try to get it running on on mi2/s
