Chinese sources believe the Lenovo K4 Note will be an all metal Redmi Note 3 rival

Rumours of Lenovo’s K4 Note launch in India have been keeping Chinese sources intrigued with some believing the device will be an all metal Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 rival.

At 899 Yuan the Lenovo K4 Note would be priced at a similar price to the Xiaomi Redmi note 3, but that might not be the only similarity the phone could have with Xiaomi’s all metal device.

Are these the Lenovo K4 Note specs?

Gizchina News of the week

Chinese sites have heard whispers that the Lenovo K4 Note will feature a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 display, 32GB internal memory, 5 mega-pixel front camera, and 13 mega-pixel rear camera. Dual SIM support and NFC will be part of the package, but there won’t be room for SD cards and the battery could be a smaller 3000mAh unit.

Two variants of the Lenovo K4 Note have been rumoured, a 2GB model with 899 Yuan price and 3GB RAM model at 999 Yuan.

Processing will come from either a Mediatek Helio X10 or Helio P10 chipset, while a rear facing fingerprint scanner will keep the device nice and secure from prying eyes.

With those specs will Lenovo really have a #killernote on their hands?

There’s no way it keeps the price down… It’s meant to avoid internal competition

If it’s that ,it’s behind the curve and they lose to the new Note 3 with SD650 and others like that arriving soon. So they would need to win on price.

All in all, the only real note 3 killer would have been the note 2, if it had the same camera and that (for me, useless) fingerprint reader

helio x10 again 🙁 very dissapointing on the gpu side… clearly performing worse than a mtk6732 when emulating games. It can’t even handle Nintendo ds emulation.. worse gpu choice ever

It could be an SD 808 as I don’t see many mtk powered devices having NFC they usually use hotknot but again nothing is Impossible.

ROM support is the main downside of buying any lenovo phone…

If Lenovo wishes for K4 to make inroads into India market..advisable prerequisite will be memory card slot, dual SIM, 4000 mah. Battery. (Indian networks r so poor, battery backup is lower here). Otherwise somebody else will step in to empty slot.

let’s hope for good software optimization, if not:
    bad camera option
    bad SoC option
    bad sd-reader option
    bad battery option

it will be ok for many, but you know where i’m heading…. hahaha

    I just bought a Redmi Note 2! 🙂
Having replaceable battery is more important to me than the phone being made out of metal.
I am still waiting for a mainly metal phone that does not compromise on removable battery, microsd or repairability (I think the last phone that came out with those things was the HTC HD2, so it is about time.)
