Haier Pad 971 tablet launched, still packs Kitkat

Haier have been taking part in plenty of big launch events over the past 12 months and they have also shown up at CES with their all new Haier 971 tablet.

There is a reason that Haier doesn’t get spoken about much in the tech world, basically they are a little behind the times and a good example of that is their new tablet launched at CES.

Gizchina News of the week

Haier say’s that their Haier Pad 971 tablet with 9.7-inch 2048 x 1536 display runs the latest version of Android, but the last time we checked the latest Android version is Marshmallow not Android 4.4 Kitkat.

The outdate OS runs on a 1.8Ghz quad-core chipset, with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, micro SD card, 8 mega-pixel rear camera and 7800mAh battery. Haier hope to sell the tablet internationally for under $200, but at that price there are more interesting devices with better hardware available. Better luck next time Haier.
