TENAA have just let the specs of the Vivo X6S slip confirming the phone will get a Snapdragon 652 chipset in place of a Mediatek chipset.

The Vivo X6S is a slim 5.2-inch phone similar but with a few updates over the previous Vivo X6 which launched last year. The new phone will measure in at 147.9 x 73.75 x 6.56mm with a 2400mAh battery and on the rear has a fingerprint scanner too.

The 5.2-inch phone uses a FHD 1920 x 1080 resolution display, 4GB RAM and a Snapdragon 652 chipset running at 1.8Ghz. A 13 mega-pixel rear camera and 8 mega-pixel front make up the rest of the hardware.

The only detail which looks out of pace on the X6S is the use of Android 5.1.1, which would suggest that Vivo’s Funtouch OS isn’t ready for a Marshmallow update just yet?

Vivo will have a few phones on show at the Qualcomm booth at MWC so we will keep an eye out for the new Vivo X6S.

Yup battery is small, but having owned a few Vivo I have no worries about the battery life on this.

The sad thing is that it’s going to cost at least half that much. Vivo must have a real following in China to be able to charge premium phone prices for decidedly mid-range wares, huh?

They have a huge following in China.
They share the 4th position with Oppo with a 10% market share.
Only Xiaomi, Huawei and Apple do better than them.

Vivo is a big presence throughout Asia. They are an ultra premium brand, their phones don’t always have the best specs but the quality you get is amazing.

Vivo is one of the few brands I will actually pay big money for. The level of quality in a Vivo is far beyond any other brand.
