At MWC, Cheetah and Cubot launched their first phone together using the hardware from Cubot and the apps from Cheetah, the companies are still striving to work together and are hosting a connect event in Beijing too.

It’s a long shot, but if you are in Beijing on 27th April, then you might be able to go and attend the Connect event hosted by app maker Cheetah and phone maker Cubot.

Gizchina News of the week

Cheetah are the people behind the Cleanmaster app and other (ad powered) utility apps, while Cubot are the company that have partnered with them on their first all metal 3GB RAM smartphone.

The event will have guest speakers Jack McCauley and Yuval Noah Harari, who intend to discuss various connected topics involving the history of Human communication and Silicon Valley.

It’s not the type of event I would likely to attend but if your in the neighbourhood then it might be worth a look.
