Doogee X5 Max with 4000 mAh battery on sale

Doogee X5 Max

The improved version of the last year’s ultra budget “dark horse” model Doogee X5 is just entering the market and the Doogee X5 Max should offer improvement all across the board. But with all that it’s pretty important to keep the same low price as the predecessor to stay competitive.

Doogee X5 Max will be available in black or white color design and the biggest improvement is prolly bumping up the battery capacity to 4000 mAh, which is a pretty significant 67 % increase. Not sure if the claims about 2.5 days of usage hold any value, but still it’s a respectable capacity. Another interesting thing is the 360 degree Touch ID rear fingeprint scanner, which is still a rare thing to see in such cheap devices so thumbs up. Adding optional extra functions to the scanner doesn’t hurt the case either.

Gizchina News of the week

The phone even has a metal frame and that’s also nice to see in this particular price range. Mediatek MT6580 processor with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of storage will get you back to earth though, but at least on paper the rear and front camera both with 8 MPix resolution look solid. Rear one offers f/1.8 aperture while the front one f/2.0, but again specs are not everything. Another unique feature is the “dual-ID” system allowing the user to sign up to two social media accounts simultaneously. Android 6.0 Marshmallow is preinstalled as the OS.

In the typical chinese manner we have for you the video comparing the Doogee X5 Max with the iPhone 6 Plus, but this time it’s even slightly belieavable, because the testing category is strictly battery endurance, check out for yourselves.

If you would be interesting in the phone, its possible to buy it for example here for mere $65.99 if you fancy the white version or $59.99 for the black one.

Fake capacity? The battery capacity shown drops when phone is being recharged. often, the phone shuts down in middle of the day suddenly. After recharged, the battery graphs (at different occasions) show the battery fell from a cliff from 50-70% to 0%.

So the battery graph showed fake capacity. wonder if the rom is being rigged to show higher than real battery percentage.
