    Finally we got follower to those big brands (so called premium brands) :

    Cost breakdown per smartphone (Not real one of course, just a mock up figures LOL) :
    – R&D $10
    – Cost to manufacture $50
    – Cost for massive advertising $150 (maybe even higher)
    ==================================
    Total Cost $210
    Profit margin $80
    ==================
    Selling Price $290 (before tax ,shipping fee, re-seller marked up etc).

    Don’t underestimate the cost factor of advertising, it cost huge amount of money.
    And in the end it is always end users who pay LOL.
