Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 gets Android Marshmallow update

If you are the owner of an unlocked version of the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 then get ready for some tasty Marshmallow action.

The Idol 3 is a pair of budget Android smartphones available in the U.S, unlocked and without contract. The range is made up of a 4.7-inch phone for $179.99 and a 5.5-inch model for $249.99, not bad for a phone with Snapdragon 615 chipset, 2GB RAM and 13 mega-pixel main camera (for the 5.5-inch version).

Gizchina News of the week

If you happen to own one of the unlocked phones (or you are planning to buy one) then you will be happy to know that an Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is rolling out for it.

The update should bring the usual Android 6.0 features like Doze, Google Now on Tap and more flexible storage alone with all those additional permissions features.
