Vivo X7 shows up on TENAA with unbalanced camera spec

So we all knew the Vivo X7 would launch with a front 16 mega-pixel camera, but now TENAA has revealed that the rear will be 13 mega-pixels!!

The Vivo X7 is the next mid-range phone from Vivo to launch this year, and with it it brings a new bias towards selfies and a slightly altered design.

Vivo have now moved the fingerprint scanner from the rear of the device (as it is on previous Vivo phones) and on to the chin in a home button just like the one found on the Oppo R9 and OnePlus 3.

The whole design can be seen in these new TENAA leaks, but most interestingly TENAA also confirms that the camera specs are stacked in favour of the front camera.

Gizchina News of the week

While the rear is listed as a 13 mega-pixel shooter the front is a 16 mega-pixel sensor with dedicated front facing flash. This seems like an odd move and we wonder if someone made a mistake with the specs over at the government ran authority.

TENAA goes on to confirm a 1.8Ghz Snapdragon 652 chipset will be used, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory. Dimensions are also revealed (147.3 x 71.85 x 7.24mm) as is the screen size (5.2-inch) and resolution (1080 x 1920 OLED).

Vivo will be officially announcing the X7 next month where it’s price is expected to be just under 3000 Yuan.

Not much of an upgrade to my x6 plus. Will get the xplay 5 elite instead unless they update that one.

Maybe the 13 megapixel rear camera performs way better in low light scenarios?
