Homtom HT16 – summer phone for the young available in presales

The newest Homtom model Homtom HT16 just entered the presale period so those interested in the so-called “summer phone for the young” have their chance to get it. Hard to say why Homtom decided to name and market it like that, could have something in common with the colder colors used for the covers or maybe the low price. Young and old love that for sure.
Homtom HT16 back cover is plastic, but with an interesting texture and unusual placement of the logo. You can control the phone with wide range of gestures including the off screen ones and with 3000 mAh battery capacity and budget power efficient hardware it should also last long on a charge. Phone will also be dual SIM enabled.

The aforementioned budget specs include the quad-core MT6580 clocked at 1,3 Ghz, 1 GB RAM and expandable 8 GB of storage. Main camera will have 8 Mpix interpolated resolution from the original 5 Mpix and will be equipped with unknown Sony sensor (my guess is IMX149). Front camera will also be interpolated – 5 Mpix from original 2 Mpix. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be pre-installed so the OS should be more or less up to date.
Well and because we have mentioned the low price let’s take a look at that too. Official retail price is listed at $59.99 but the presale offers lower it to $49.99 for example here.

when are they banning the SHIT 6580 ?!

i was expecting the sadly short-lived 6732 to take the 6580’s place and still be a highly efficient and amazing cpu (and a billion times better than this stupid 6580 !)

Another phone with shitty specs. They are 1000 same phones. Not even worth the $50…
