The Xiaomi Mi Mix is possibly the most groundbreaking Chinese smartphone in recent years, with multiple different media outlets writing about it all over the world. It’s one of the most popular devices in the world as of the time of writing.
Despite this, the device’s unwieldiness has managed to turn away many prospective buyers, which is unsurprising seeing how large the 6.4-inch display is. To those people, this new bit of news is exactly what you’ll want to see.

A couple of images have leaked online showing what is purported to be a smaller version of the Mi Mix, being scaled next to a normal Mi Mix! From what we can see, the picture is rather potato quality, but that’s definitely a Mi Mix with a smaller, similar looking device next to it.
Also according to the leaks, the smaller Mi Mix will come with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 90% screen to body ratio and a Snapdragon 821 processor. These are just leaks however, so take them with a grain of salt.
If true, I wish it had a slightly bigger display, 5.5″ is fine but if there are no capacitive buttons then I don’t know if it’s worth it. I had preferred it was 5.7″ or 6″.
That aside, they should get a proper camera for it!
5.5 inch screen in a 5 inch body? I’d say it will appeal to a broader market. I’ll definitely be getting one anyway
