Elephone P25 will feature “Hi-Fi audio”

Elephone P25

Elephone claim to bring Hi-Fi quality audio on their upcoming Elephone P25. But what does that actually mean? Let’s figure it out!

Elephone P25

High fidelity—or hi-fi or hifi—reproduction is a term used by home stereo listeners, audiophiles and home audio enthusiasts to refer to high-quality reproduction of sound to distinguish it from the lower quality sound produced by inexpensive audio equipment – Wikipedia.

This quality can also be brought to smartphone with some special expedients, such as the presence of a dedicated audio DAC or better componentry in general. This would allow your phone to produce high-quality audio and experience the music the way it was meant to be heard from the artists.

In addition to that, an “Hi-Fi phone” will also produce clearer sound and let your hear details that were not possible to hear before. And that’s what Hi-Fi means in a nutshell.

Now, since Elephone is saying the Elephone P25 will be featuring this level of sound quality, we could assume they have found a way to reach it somehow, whether it’s through a DAC or something else, we are yet to find out. As of now, we aren’t aware of all the details.

upping the specifications and introducing new technical features won’t change much if they don’t work on the software part as well… if the phone can do much more, but doesn’t know how to do it, it will end up not being any better than other elephone phones…

“As of now, we aren’t aware of all the details.” – You’re not aware of ANY details. It’s just another marketing bullshit.
