New rugged Phonemax devices will debut at MWC 2017

Phonemax

Seems like we are getting some new serious contender models for the rugged segment of the market, because Phonemax just announced two new models to debut at MWC 2017 in Barcelona in the end of February. So what are they hinting at ?

There should be two models available, with S5C being the lower one and S5 being the premium one with allegedly “specs never seens in this kind of a device”. Well color me impressed and curious. The S5 should feature IP68 certificate making it dustproof, waterproof and shock resistant, unknown Helio processor, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB of storage, 5-inch screen, 4G with band 20, NFC, PTT, 6m band, SOS button, large battery around 5000 mAh of capacity and fast charging.

Gizchina News of the week

Phonemax will be offering the products directly to customers in Europe, because they announced their focus on this market in the coming days. And with the background being a big OMD/ODM manufacturer with their own factory they have the know-how and manpower to become an interesting player. Let’s wait and see.

Dominó85, you know sensor is the best way to know if camera is good or not instead of resolution. I do not know sensor so I can not say if camera is DECENT or not. I think is premature. At least, 4GB/64GB, 5Ah, NFC, 4G (band 20), CAT 6, IP68 and quick charge upon Helio is the best for me. Besides, if stable and cheap, perfect. I´ll pay attention in order to know the sensor 🙂
