You can install CyanogenMod 7.1 on your Oukitel U13 starting today


Alternative ROMs are a good way for many users to get some different and sometimes better and more refined experince from their phones. So it comes as a nice gift for the Oukitel U13 users that the company officially announced today their cooperation with the M.A.D. software developer team and you can install the CyanogenMod 7.1 on your device starting today.

And what are the key features of the CyanogenMod 7.1 ? Whole buid is based on the latest Google AOSP, Android 7.1.1 with February security update and offers plenty of addition options to customize the status bar including battery styles, clock options, brightness controls and network traffic. Similar variety is available for customizing the navigation bar being able to change number of buttons, background colors, button colors, “sliding home” function and more.

Of course there are tons of other stuff like activating the torch function with screen turned off, custom offline-charging animation, support for exFat filesystem for microSD cards or support for “Substratum Theme Engine” (requires rooting though).     Hm, as I know CyanogenMod has died recently? All of its contributors moved to its successor called LineageOS. I can’t see any Oukitel product on LineageOS download page? Something is wrong here …
