The post on LeEco’s official Weibo account is a message with a meaning. It roughly translates to “How to maintain a balance between high performance and low power consumption”.

With software getting more sophisticated by the day, smartphone manufacturers have started incorporating smart algorithms which customise cache usage, RAM management and clock speeds based on the smartphone’s usage. These have been proven to improve battery usage.

So LeEco could use a power saving processor along with energy saving algorithms to power their mystery device. Plonk a 5,000 mAh battery into the mix and LeEco’s latest endeavour could bring it into some much needed limelight.
