Mystery Nubia device hits Geekbench, could be Z17 mini?

An unknown Nubia smartphone appeared earlier on Geekbench, bearing model number NX591J and things seem interesting I guess. According to rumors this could be an affordable variant of the Nubia Z17 flagship model, that should appear as Z17 mini or Z17 lite (whatever suits you better).

Gizchina News of the week

According to the Geekbench listing, the device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, has 6GB of RAM and it’s equipped with a Snapdragon 617 SoC for decent, mid-range performance – suitable for its low price I guess.

It benchmarking results are typical of such a chipset from Qualcomm: 1080 points for single core and 2921 for multi-core so we have no idea to get something more from this. We should be seeing more of this not-yet-announced model in the coming days, so stay tuned.

The Z17 mini was already released and has a snapdragon 652 or 653, so how can this be the z17 mini?
