The Ulefone Armor 2 is a super rugged phone and we’ve seen it going through a plethora of stress tests, all passed with full marks. But how good is it if software isn’t on par? Well, today we have a look at some of the outdoor features you’ll find on the Armor 2. They’re all part of what Ulefone calls “Outdoor Toolbox”; let’s watch the video!
So, what are the tools we find in the main outdoor app? Alright, they are many of them, 13 to be precise, let’s begin with the different alarms you can use in case of emergency, going from the pulsing LED flash and sound alarm to the display flashing different colors. We then have other useful features such as sound meter, compass, flashlight, bubble level, pic hanging, heart rate, height measurement, magnifier, pedometer, plumb bob, protractor and pressure meter.
All these tools can be useful in your ordinary life in the city or when you’re exploring nature. Hopefully you won’t be needing the emergency alarms though.
Handy toolbox aside, the Ulefone Armor 2 is also equipped with some powerful and efficient hardware, going from the Helio P25 octa-core processor clocked at 2.6GHz, to the massive 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. We find a nice sized 4700mAh battery with 9V/2A PE+2.0 fast charge support, a 16MP rear camera and a 13MP front shooter. The smartphone’s display is 5.0-inch FHD with a PPI of 441, we also have support for 27 frequency bands under 6 network types, a really fast front fingerprint scanner, 6-axis gyroscope, barometer sensor, and NFC. There are also 6 physical buttons around the edges of the device to quickly access some apps of functions.
