Samsung Galaxy S8 takes away the Best Phone award at the Mobile Choice Consumer Awards 2017


The UK-focused award show, Mobile Choice Consumer Awards 2017 named the Samsung Galaxy S8, as the ‘Phone of the Year’. The Mobile Choice Consumer Awards happened last night in London which saw a myriad range of awards being given out to various smartphone companies.

Samsung’s Galaxy S8 bagged another, ‘Best Camera Phone of 2017’ award and Samsung as a brand won the award for ‘Manufacturer of the Year’. Other than Samsung, brands like Huawei, Motorola, FitBit, Apple etc., managed to bag a few awards too. Huawei’s Honor 9 won the ‘Best Mid-Market Phone’ along with the Honor brand bagging the ‘One to Watch’ award. Moto E4 by Motorola bagged the ‘Best Value Phone’ award. The Apple Watch 2 won the ‘Best Smartwatch’ title while Fitbit Charge 2 won the ‘Best Fitness Wearable’. Google Home won the  ‘Connected Gadget of the Year’ award.

Also given out were awards to telecom companies, with Sky Mobile winning the ‘Best Value Network’, whereas Three managed to grab two awards, the ‘Best Network for Roaming’ and ‘Best Network for Data’ . EE won the ‘Best Network’ award. TechHouse Repair got the ‘Best Repair Service’ award, with Carphone Warehouse won the ‘Best High Street Retailer’ award. Amazon was conferred with the title of ‘Best Online Retailer’ and Mazuma Mobile with the title of the ‘Best Recycling Service’.
