Scratch, Burn, & Bend Test Reveals Huawei Mate 10 Pro Strength

JerryRigEverything Youtube Channel is known for its tough durability tests on smartphones. To start this year, it choseĀ Huawei Mate 10 Pro as the lab rat. Well, before we get into the details, this smartphone didn’tĀ perform badly. For the screen durability, Huawei Mate 10 Pro comes with anĀ OLED touchscreen which withstood a burning flame for 40 seconds just likeĀ Samsung’s Galaxy S8. It scratches just when you expect but unlike some LCDs, the Mate 10 Pro’s display does not recover once the flame source is removed.

In terms of scratching, the only part of this device that easily scratches is aĀ plastic coating on the fingerprint sensor. This smartphone does not flex irrespective of the position of mending. Its glass screen, rear glass panel, and metal power buttonĀ remains intact after bending. The cameras (front and back) and Huawei logo sit beneath glass thus they cannot be scratched.

Huawei Mate 10 Pro is currently up forĀ pre-order in the US. As a reminder,Ā this smartphone is powered by a Hisilicon Kirin 970 processor coupled with 4GB/64GB or 6GB/128GB configuration. It is equipped with a Gorilla Glass protected 6.0-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen having an 80.9% screen-to-body ratio with a 1080 x 2160 pixel resolution. In the camera department, we have aĀ 12MP + 20MPĀ camera on the rear coupled with an 8MP shooter for selfies. It runs aĀ pre-installed Android Oreo OS and its lights are kept on by a non-removable Li-Ion 4000 mAh battery.
