Honor 9N, rebranded version of Honor 9i, launched in India

Honor has just launched the Honor 9N in India, a handset that looks very very similar to the Honor 9 Lite and also has similar specifications. Except that the Honor 9N has a notch. The handset starts at Rs 11,999 ($175) and comes in Lavender Purple, Robin Egg Blue, Sapphire Blue & Midnight Black colours. Sadly, you can’t buy any other one except the Black right now. It will be on sale on Flipkart from July 31.

Like we said, the Honor 9N is a good copy of the Honor 9 Lite with a 2.5D glass on the front and back. It has a 5.84-inch Full-HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The really annoying part is the inclusion of the octa-core Kirin 659 that Huawei has been using since ages. It comes with a 3GB/4GB RAM option and 32GB/64GB/128GB storage options. It does, however, allow a micro SD card.

The camera is one of the very few areas of upgrade here with Honor placing a 16MP photosensitive sensor with a large 2.0μm pixel size for selfies. It also has face unlock, AR, and Beauty Mode. The rear camera is constituted by dual 12MP + 2MP shooters and dual-tone LED flash as well as PDAF.

Honor loads the 9N with Android 8.0 Oreo along with EMUI 8.0 and is backed by a 3,000mAh battery. The Honor 9N also comes ready with GPU Turbo that was introduced for a battery and smoother gameplay experience. In essence, the Honor 9N is the Honor 9i of China that launched just a few weeks ago.
