Xiaomi Hey+ Smart Band Launched

The Mi Band 3 was launched about two months ago. Xiaomi is back again with a slightly overhauled Xiaomi Hey+ smart band. The Hey+ resembles the Mi Band 3 in many ways. Its design is similar but it comes with a few add-ons. You could call this a slight upgrade over the Mi Band 3.

The Xiaomi Hey+ features a 0.95-inch AMOLED display with a 240x240p resolution as opposed to the Band 3’s 0.78-inch OLED display with a 128 x 80p resolution. The Hey+ weighs 19.7 grams and is made of thermoplastic elastometer. It features the same 120mAh battery as the Mi Band 3. One major feature is the inclusion of NFC support along with Bluetooth 4.2LE. This would enable the Hey+ to be used as a transportation card in China.

Like the Mi Band 3, the Xiaomi Hey+ is also a fitness-centric smart band. It can track your swimming, running, and walking activity. It comes with a heart rate sensor for continuous heart rate monitoring. Sleep monitoring is possible thanks to the inbuilt accelerometer. The Hey+ can be connected to the MiFit app. The band also allows you to reject incoming calls.

According to Xiaomi, the Hey+ can show up to 10 calls and 10 notification messages on the display at a time. Each message is limited to a 300 character limit. The battery life of the Hey+ is claimed to be around 18 days for average use. It can be paired with Xiaomi’s Home automation system through the Mijia app. It is priced at 299 Yuan, approximately $43 and is listed on the Xiaomi YouPin website. It will be available for purchase starting September 20.

Recently, some media and users have misread Hey+ band. It is hereby declared that the Hey+ band is a product that ā€œworks with MIJIA ā€ and has access to the Xiaomi MiOT platform. Itā€™s available on Xiaomi youpin platform now. However, Hey+ is RYEEX Technology Co., Ltd brand not Xiaomi or Xiaomi Ecosystem company brand. Please correct the information on the website. Thanks very much.
