A few days back, rugged phones maker ioutdoor launched their biggest sale promo ever as they opened their new AliExpress store. During the sale it was possible to get an IP68 rugged phone for just $9.99, so it’s quite safe to assume the company now has increased its fan base. That is set to grow even further though, as they are appear to be ready to launch the thinnest rugged phone ever – namely called ioutdoor X.
From the picture above, we see the X is definitely looking somewhat different from usual rugged phones. It comes with a more fashionable and unique design, plus it appears to be relatively thin. The handset will then pack a large display with the popular 18:9 aspect ratio and a screen-to-body ratio of up to 82%. Its body is made of high-end polymer materials as well as metal, as we can see on the sides. The premium frame also makes it tri-proof, which means it’s waterproof, dust proof and shock proof, features you definitely want to have on a rugged phone.
Gizchina News of the week
As for the internal hardware, the ioutdoor X is, surprisingly enough, coming with a mainstream octa-core processor – the Helio P23, along with a whopping 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. We then also find a 16MP+8MP dual rear camera, a 13MP selfie snapper, a good sized 3400mAh battery capacity which supports 9V2A fast charge, fingerprint ID + face unlocking methods, NFC for Google pay and runs Android 8.1 Oreo OTB.
All the info above are available on the official website, what we don’t know yet is pricing though, so stay tuned for that. If you want to learn more about the ioutdoor X, check out the company’s official website. Other phones already on promo can be found on their AliExpress store here.
