Smartphone manufacturers are aware that the industry is consistently growing and the days of “only flagship maintenance” are long gone. Now, even mid-range and entry-level smartphones now get a consistent update and that is how most OEMs grips the market. Xiaomi is a well-known manufacturer who provides updates for its devices. Current information suggests that the company is currently rolling out the global stable MIUI 10 ROM to Redmi 6A.

This is an OTA (over the air) update thus you should get a notification on your device when it is available. Alternatively, you can go to settings, then system update to check if the update is available. The firmware is also available for download HERE. The update weighs 260MB and it comes with a redesigned full-screen UI with gestures, new system sounds, improvement to portrait mode, various optimizations, bug fixes and the September security patch. Recently, Xiaomi also released this update for Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi Note 5, Redmi Y2 and the Xiaomi Mi 5.
