Some weeks ago, Chinese manufacturing giant, Huawei, released its new smartphone, Honor Play 8C. This smartphone comes with the new Snapdragon 632 SoC. The official announcement of this smartphone says that it will be available in four colour options. These include Aurora Blue, Platinum Gold, Nebula Purple, and Magic Night Black. Now, current information from the company says that the Honor Play 8C will be on sale from tomorrow (25th October). Potential buyers of this smartphone will have to part with 1099 Yuan ($158) which is fair enough.
The Honor Play 8C comes with a 6.26-inch screen with a display resolution of 1520×720 while its aspect ratio is 19:9. The rear uses 3D printing technology, combined with a nano-level glare texture design. This design presents a unique light and shadow flow effect on the rear.
Under the hood, we have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. This chip uses a Kryo architecture – a set of eight Kryo 250 cores clocking 1.8GHz. The single-core performance is 40% better than Snapdragon 625. Even the multi-core performance is 20% better. In the camera department, this smartphone comes with a dual rear camera setup. The rear hosts a 13MP+2MP configuration that supports AI scene recognition. For selfies, we have an 8MP sensor with support for AI beauty and AI face unlock. Honor Play 8C comes with a decent 4000mAh large battery. This is the largest battery in the Honor series so far. It can deliver 12.5 hours of continuous video and 11.1 hours gaming time.
