Samsung One UI will come to the Galaxy S8, S8+, Note 8 after all

Earlier at the Samsung Developer conference, Samsung had addressed to the viewers that they will not be rolling out the new handy user-interface ‘One UI’ for Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note 8.

However, it seems like Samsung has changed their minds and now has decided that they will be giving the new user-friendly interface to the stated models but unfortunately the beta program which is coming at the beginning of (2019) will not include them. Besides that, this UI update will considerably come along with Android 9 Pie update in the mentioned devices.

Samsung’s new One UI is quite intriguing as it aims to not only make a smartphone usable simply with one hand but also includes visual tweaks and adds new features on top of Android Pie. The most interesting part is the way it splits the UI into two elements – the interactive and the viewable part. The interactive part lies in the bottom half and the viewable element is on the top half. This allows users to reach those parts of the UI very easily which were earlier on the topmost edge of the screen hence making it more easy for one-handed use. But that’s just one big change, there will be much more to look forward to the next year and we are excited.
