Motorola will bring Moto Z4 with S8150 and Moto G7 Duo in 2019

The 2018 season of smartphones has pretty much ended for Motorola, now the Lenovo-owned company is cooking its next batch of midrange and premium handsets scheduled to come in 2019. The highlights of the next year will be the Moto Z4 and a duo of Moto G7 mid-rangers. A new set of reports surfaced in the rumors mill today, detailing these upcoming releases.

The Moto Z4 will be the company’s start for the next year, after the precarious performance of the Moto Z3. While the flagship bandwagon has chosen a safe route with the recent Snapdragon 845, Motorola opted for whatever reason, the last year’s Snapdragon 835 for the Z3. We don’t need to remember you how this made customers avoid the dated smartphone. For the next year, the company won’t repeat this mistake by employing the upcoming Snapdragon 8150 in the Moto Z4. The handset will come with a 5GMotoMod that will also be available for the Moto Z3.

Gizchina News of the week

The next generation of G-series already appeared through FCC with a Snapdragon 660 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of Storage. Unfortunately, the listing revealed a tad small 2,820 battery which is really disappointing for a smartphone with these specs and a large display. Of course, another set of rumors points out that Motorola is preparing a more premium variant of the Moto G7 with an upscaled Snapdragon 710, 6.5-inch screen and a 3,500mAh battery. However, we advise taking these rumors with a pinch or two of salt.

The company will indeed drop the Moto G Play series for the next year, so lovers of the cheap variant will be alone in 2019. It’s still too early to consider these rumors as a final truth for Motorola’s future. But we really hope that the company provides a decent flagship smartphone for the next year, after the whole fiasco with the Moto Z3 series.
