A couple of HMD Nokia smartphones are being updated with November security patch

We are close to the end of November, but as long the month does not end HMD decided to honor its recent reputation by providing a new update to a couple of Nokia branded smartphones, including the recent Nokia 6.1 Plus. With the constant updates, HMD is keen to keep building a solid reputation among its customers.

The updates in question aren’t major releases, so don’t hold your breath waiting for an Android Pie release. But still, these new builds are important for security concerns, and once again, endorses the company’s program of providing timely updates for its range of mobile devices. The new release brings November Security Patch for some smartphones and is currently being rolled out via OTA channels. It’s a pretty simple update patch with just 82.75MB.

Along with the Nokia 6.1 Plus, the Nokia 8 and 8 Sirocco also received the same update treatment. A user interested in the update can try to force check the new build by navigating through Settings >> About Phone >> Software Update. Worth noting that the latest Android 9.0 Pie update will be rolled out for all current Nokia smartphones, it’ll be just a matter of time.
