Nokia 7.1 debuts in India, priced at $286

First announced back in October to its Global audience, HMD Global has today announced the pricing as well as roll out details of one of its mid-range AndroidOne Phone – the Nokia 7.1. The Nokia 7.1 is a decent AndroidOne phone that launched with the Android Oreo out of the box, but HMD Global as part of its commitment to regular update has already started pushing out Android 9 Pie to the mid-range device.

It comes in Gloss Midnight Blue and Gloss Steel colors and will go on sale in the country from December 7th from top mobile retailers across India and on Nokia.com/phones. The Nokia 7.1 is priced at Rs. 19,999/ $286.

Much like the Nokia 7, the Nokia 7.1  is made of glass on the front and back with aluminum in the middle. The frame is of the 6000 series aluminum frame with a dual-anodized diamond cut colored edge and is rated at IP52, for dust resistance and “water spray under 15 degrees from vertical”.

It flaunts a 5.84-inch Full HD+  19:9 notched screen, but retains the headphone jack. There’s a dual rear camera setup and a single selfie camera with adjustable “bothie” setting, and that essentially means you take photos and video from both cameras simultaneously.

And why would anyone in India buy this over the Poco F1 (base model costing $290 to $300)?
