Huawei MateBook X Pro released


Today, Huawei officially released three new notebooks in Shanghai: the new HUAWEI MateBook X Pro, HUAWEI MateBook 14 and HUAWEI MateBook E. The new MateBook X Pro continues the 3K dazzling full-screen classic design, showing the flagship model with stylish, lightweight and extreme experience. The new MateBook is equipped with a new upgraded Huawei Share one-touch function, which makes the interaction between mobile phones and notebooks more convenient, creating a full-screen smart life experience.

The new HUAWEI MateBook X Pro inherits the classic design and craftsmanship of its predecessor, bringing a more efficient, convenient and intelligent interactive experience. It continues the metal-integrated body and CNC drilling/cutting process, combined with precision ceramic sandblasting to bring a delicate touch. The thickest part of the fuselage is 14.6mm and weighs only 1.33Kg. It is available in deep gray, silver and cherry powder.

Through the industry’s top structural design, the new HUAWEI MateBook X Pro achieves four-sided ultra-narrow bezel and 91% screen ratio with a 13.9-inch display. Its 3K HD resolution provides an unobstructed view. In Office, web browsing and other scenarios, the content is presented vertically in the largest aspect ratio, which is easier to edit and share. Other features which make the display of this perfect include 100% sRGB (typical) wide color gamut, PPI up to 260, 450 nits maximum brightness, 1500: 1 contrast; Low-power LTPS display, and high-precision ten-point touch. In addition, the new three-finger slide screen developed by Huawei can realize fast screen capture, and can easily capture arbitrary shapes and automatically recognize the text inside the image.

This device is equipped with a new upgraded Huawei Share feature that breaks through the short-distance transmission of Android and Windows across systems. Through the simple and natural interaction mode of “One Touch”, one-click file sharing, one-touch recording screen and shared clipboard function, realize cross-platform mutual transmission without touching the data line and network.

The new HUAWEI MateBook X Pro is fully upgraded and features the eighth generation (Whiskey Lake) Intel® CoreTM i7-8565U processor with support for the new NVIDIA® GeForce® MX250 graphics card, 2GB GDDR5 discrete graphics memory, and its shark fin fan 2.0 Multi-tasking is smooth. At the same time, it comes with a new ThunderboltTM 3 interface, two-way data transmission, dual-antenna WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0. All these ensure that the signal and transfer of data is smoother. According to the company, the transfer rate is up to 40Gbps.

This notebook has a 57.4Wh (typ) ultra-capacity battery for powerful battery life, enabling local 1080P video playback for 13 hours. For normal office use, it delivers 14 hours while for web browsing, the battery will last for 12 hours. It is also equipped with Dolby Atmos® sound system as well as customized high and low-frequency crossover four speakers which bring great audio and video effects. The fingerprint recognition is embedded on the power button and it has a hidden camera. These are two innovative designs that effectively protect user privacy.

The Huawei MateBook X Pro is available in three versions. The i5/8GB/512GB version is priced at 7999 yuan ($1191) while the i7/8GB/512GB and i7/16GB/1TB versions are priced at 9999 yuan ($1489) and 13999 yuan ($2084) respectively.
