The OnePlus 7 series new product launch conference is just around the corner. So it’s not difficult to guess there have been many warm-up posters and myriads of leaks. Today, OnePlus product manager posted a screenshot on Weibo, showing the custom settings of the OP7’s screen. Also, he added the following information: ‘Note that the Display P3 is not DCI-P3. ‘
We usually use the coverage of DCI-P3 color gamut to assess the quality of a color display. So probably many of you are wondering what the Display P3 is. Interestingly, in the comment section, one of the users provided the explanation: ‘The wide color gamut Display P3 comes from the common DCI-P3 color gamut in the digital cinema industry. The Display P3 changed the gamma value of DCI-P3 from 2.6 to the same as the sRGB standard of 2.2, the white point value is also changed to D65 (6500K) like sRGB.’
As for ‘ordinary mortals’, the Display P3 wide gamut can see more colors, and the colors look more vivid and real.’
Previously, there was a lot of spotted information. According to them, the OnePlus 7 Pro will be equipped with 6.67-inch QHD+ resolution Samsung custom-made AMOLED display, with a high refresh rate of 90Hz, an HDR10+ certification, and more. By the way, the company claims it has spent over 100 million yuan ($14.9 million) to make this display. It’s also said the OnePlus 7’s screen will be unique in the industry.
Apart from this, there will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 under the hood. The phone will also use the UFS3.0 flash memory, a front-facing lift camera, a 48MP rear three-camera, and a 4000mAh battery, supporting 30W fast charging.
A new product launch conference will be held in Beijing on May 16.
