Huawei’s latest system in its flagship smartphones is EMUI 9.1 on top of Android 9 Pie system. At this year’s Google I/O, Huawei Mate 20 Pro became the first model to upgrade to Android Q Beta 3. According to Huawei system progress, the EMUI version based on Android Q should be EMUI 10. According to FunkyHuawei, the company is already intensely testing this system.
FunkyHuawei runs an unofficial Huawei ROM. Looking at the Huawei P30 series EMUI 10 ROM, FunkyHuawei believes that Huawei is testing Android Q, at least internally. Soon, global users will be able to upgrade to Android Q and also install the complete Google Suite.
The importance of this report is that Huawei users can now have a glimpse of hope after the US ban. The ban means that Google’s Android system will not be fully available. Although Huawei has a three-month breathing period and the existing Android devices are safe, an average Huawei user has concerns. However, the reference value of the internal test ROM is limited. Whether Huawei will release its self-developed system, when it will release it, what kind of appearance it will have, and the symbiotic relationship between the self-developed system and the old Android model will be answered only with patience.
