After being announced a couple of months back in China as Realme’s first pop-up camera smartphone, the Realme X has arrived in India today. It’s priced at an aggressive Rs 16,999 (€220) for the 4GB+128GB model while the 8GB + 128GB version will set you back by Rs 19,999 (€260). There’s also the special Realme X Master Edition in Onion or Garlic that also has the same price and the Realme X Spider-Man Far From Home Edition will cost a bit more at INR 20,999 (€270). The standard variant comes in Space Blue and Polar White.
The handset will go on sale online via Flipkart and Realme’s online store on July 24. However, the Realme X will be sold offline as well. A Hate to Wait flash sale will take place on July 18.
The pop-up camera phone comes with a 6.53-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display embedded with the cutting-edge on-screen fingerprint reader. Under the hood, it has a Snapdragon 710 SoC which is same as the Chinese variant, despite Realme India CEO saying that the Indian version will not be necessarily similar. There’s a dual 48MP (f/1.7) +5MP camera on the rear and a 16MP sensor in the pop-up module. And finally, there’s a 3,765mAh battery complemented by VOOC 3.0.
