Xiaomi Mi A3 price for India is revealed ahead of the launch

The successful Android One device, Xiaomi Mi A3 will be revealed in India on August 23. Although we’re still a few days before the release, Amazon India went ahead revealing the price of the midrange device two days earlier. Xiaomi has chosen Amazon to be its launch partner. For that reason, we believe that these prices can be the real deal.

Twitter’s user Mukul Sharma caught the listings for the device. The multiple variants for the handset appeared in the “Deals” section by weren’t available for purchase. Among the listing, we can cherrypick two storage variants that will come with 64GB and 128GB. These variants will be accompanied by 4GB of RAM, and 6GB of RAM, respectively. Moreover, the handsets will land in India in three color options – Not Just Blue, More Than White, and Kind of Grey. The 4/64GB retails for INR 14,999 (~$238/€214) while the 6/128GB variant price reaches INR 17,499 (~$245/€220).

Gizchina News of the week

By the time of this publication, all the references to the Mi A3 have been taken down in Amazon’s website. We wouldn’t discard this move as a mere marketing strategy. After all, It’s not uncommon for manufacturers to leak the price ahead of release to check/prepare customers. Worth noting, that the Xiaomi Mi A3 isn’t receiving the same praise of previous generations. After all, users aren’t happy with the presence of an HD+ display in the same price category of devices like the Realme X and Redmi Note 7 Pro. Both handsets offer better resolution and much better chipsets. Worth noting that the Mi A3 comes with an AMOLED display, and while the Note 7 Pro retains to LCD, its major competitor the Realme X also offers a 1080p AMOLED panel with a full-screen design.
