Vivo NEX 3 appeared in a video teaser

Vivo NEX 3

Vivo is yet to announce the Vivo Nex 3 in the next month, however, the company believes that it’s the perfect time to show the handset in a video teaser. While we wait for an official release date, the company posted a video on its Weibo page teasing the upcoming device.

The premium smartphone made its way to Sydney, London, and Seoul. While the handset isn’t fully exposed through this video we can spot its huge waterfall screen, pop-up selfie camera, and circular triple-camera array.

Gizchina News of the week

The Waterfall screen concept comes thanks to the extremely curved edges present in the Vivo NEX 3 screen. Just like it happened with “Waterdrop Displays”, “Full-Screen displays” we expect to see the “Waterdrop Displays” term taking the tech industry in the next year. When it comes to the rear panel, the handset features a NEX logo on the bottom. Moving a little to top, we can get a glimpse of the circular camera setup. This sensor comprises three cameras in total, and apparently, the one in the top is a depth sensor.

The pop-up camera mechanism is something that Vivo brought back with the first concept of Vivo Apex. However, this time, we’ll see the company going forward with double-elevating camera mechanism. The camera tray will pop-out from the middle, and it’s very similar to the Vivo X27 Pro.

Details about chipset, RAM and storage are yet to be revealed. Thankfully, we won’t need to wait much longer since the launch is happening in the next month.
