OPPO Reno Ace Display

The Reno Ace sports a 90Hz refresh rate e-sports drop screen. It uses the OLED panel. Its brightness in the sun can reach up to 700 nits. The peak brightness can reach 1000nits when displaying HDR photos and HDR10+ video content. In addition, its dynamic contrast ratio reached 2 million to 1, while the color standard has achieved the industry’s top-level (delta E≈3). The color range covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

Our protagonist runs on ColorOS 6.1 system. Due to it and the 90Hz screen, the phone enhances the animation effect, providing a 135Hz touch sampling rate. The optimized underlying algorithm related to touch and display options improves the response speed, increasing it by up to 23.4%.

OPPO Reno Ace Hardware

Under the hood, the Reno Ace carries the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor. It is coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x memory and up to 256GB of UFS3.0 flash storage. There is a new technology called Frame Boost. Simply put, it a system-based game optimization solution. In the optimization of Frame Boost 2.0, the frame rate stability can be increased by up to 41.1%.

It uses a composite carbon fiber material ‘ice Carbon’, of which the thermal conductivity in the vertical direction is three times that of silicone grease. Thus, it can quickly lead the heat to the VC homothermal condensation copper plate. With the multi-layer graphite heat sink, it can quickly cool the smartphone.

The Reno Ace is equipped with stereo dual speakers that support Dolby 5.1 channel virtual surround sound.

Plus, the phone supports GCP surreal image quality enhancement technology. The latter was developed jointly with Qualcomm. It performs independent parameter debugging for the game’s color reproduction, material texture, light and shadow effects, etc. At the same time, the color blocks in the game screen are denoised and sawtoothed to make the game picture clearer and more vivid. There are currently 5 games that support surreal image quality enhancements: Ace Warrior, Honor of Kings, Peace Elite, World of Tanks, and Sky Fight. More games will be added later.
