The upcoming November 5th unveiling event in China could turn out to be one of the biggest this year for Xiaomi. Aside from the much talked about Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro, the Mi Watch with its semblance to the Apple Watch is another notable product to watch out for. The Watch has now been confirmed to run on a special OS – the MIUI for Watch out of the box.
There has been a number of renders -official, and unofficial floating around the web that revealed the complete design of the Mi Watch. One thing that is clear from these renders is that the Mi Watch gets a design inspired by Apple Watch. While Xiaomi already confirmed the smartwatch will come equipped with the Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC, a fresh teaser from the company the Watch will run on a smartwatch-friendly version of MIUI, and not Wear OS ar rumored. This the brand calls the MIUI for Watch.
In the short teaser video teaser attached below, the MIUI for Watch is seen with a simple layer app grid with square icons and a dark background which hints that MIUI for Watch will support a built-in dark mode just like its smartphone counterpart. The video also reveals the digital crown button been used to navigate the interface, while asl serving as the on/off button.
While the MIUI details will form part of the November 5th event, we are pretty sure the brand will dole out some more revealing teasers in the coming days.
