LG's new foldable phone

Gizchina News of the week

In recent times, LG has applied for multiple foldable phone solutions. These patents include foldable mobile phones with stylus pens, flip-type foldable phones, up, left and right foldable screens, etc. From a recent report, LG submitted a design patent to The Hague International Design System in May 2019. However, the document was officially released on November 29, 2019, under the name “Smartphone”. At first glance, LG’s new foldable phone design looks a bit like the Huawei Mate X.

From the patent sketch and Letsgodigital design renderings, this phone has a fold-out design with at least three cameras and various sensors on the side. Earlier, Huang Zhenghuan of LG’s mobile department said that LG is also developing foldable smartphones. However, there is no report on the time that this devices will arrive in the market – that is if they will ever arrive.
