The Redmi Note 8 Pro is the latest offering in Xiaomi’s record-selling Redmi Note series in India. It was launched a week before Diwali alongside the regular Redmi Note 8 and MIUI 11. Last week, the brand debuted ‘Mi Protective Glass’, a screen protector in partnership with Corning for Redmi Note 8 Pro. And now, they have launched ‘Mi Matte Hard Case’ for the device with a dual-tone finish, making it the very first phone to have these official accessories.
The ‘Mi Matte Hard Case’ for Redmi Note 8 Po is unlike any other case by Xiaomi before. This case is made of polycarbonate like any other hard case by the company but comes with a dual-tone finish separated by a red-coloured line. The upper portion of the line, which has a cutout for cameras and flash features solid matte finish. On the other hand, the lower portion has a textured finish for better grip. Although the finishes are of different types, both are in black colour with a minor difference in shade.
The case even covers the power key as well as volume rockers and the top of the phone with holes for IR blaster and secondary microphone. But the bottom part is left open for speakers and primary microphone and to access necessary ports like USB Type-C and 3.5mm headphone jack. The inner part of the case has a softer finish similar to that of the case bundled with Redmi K20 series.
The ‘Mi Matte Hard Case’ for Redmi Note 8 Pro is priced at ₹499 and can be purchased only from Mi.com and Mi Home official stores across the country.
