Realme 6, Realme 6 Pro go official


Realme has just unveiled the Relame 6 series of smartphones online today after cancelling the on-ground event over concerns about the coronavirus outbreak in India. The devices start at INR 12,999 ($180 approx.) for the Realme 6 and go up to INR 18,999 ($260 approx.) with the Realme 6 Pro. Notable features of these new phones include 90Hz refresh rate, 30W fast charging, and punch-hole display. The brand also unveiled the Realme Band alongside the two handsets.

As for specs, the Realme 6 comes with a MediaTek Helio G90T SoC, making it the second phone to feature this chipset after Redmi Note 8 Pro. On the front, it comes fitted with a 6.5-inches FHD+ LCD panel with a single punch-hole for a 16MP selfie camera and 90Hz refresh rate.

For photography, it features a 64MP (primary) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (mono) quad-camera setup The back of the device is left clean to flaunt the new lightning gradient and thus the fingerprint reader is embedded in the power button on the side. The device runs RealmeUI based on Android 10 and gets its juice from a 4,300 mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. The Realme 6 is priced at INR 12,999 ($180 approx.) , INR 14,999 ($205 approx.), and INR 15,999 ($220 approx.) for the 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 128GB respectively. It will be available in Comet Blue and Comet White color options.

The Realme 6 Pro, on the other hand, is the first smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G. It sports a 6.6-inches FHD+ LCD panel with 90Hz refresh rate and dual-punch holes for 16MP wide as well as 8MP ultra-wide cameras. The quad-camera setup on the back of the phone includes a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, a 12MP telephoto shooter, and a 2MP macro camera. The same 4,300 mAh battery runs it with 30W fast charging support.

Like any other new Realme phones, it runs the new RealmeUI based on Android 10 out of the box. The fingerprint sensor resides on the power button and the device comes in Lightning Blue and Lightning Orange color options. Lastly, the Realme 6 Pro will be available in 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 128GB variants for INR 16,999 ($230 approx.), INR 17,999 ($245 approx.), and INR 18,999 ($260 approx.) respectively.
