Honor 30S first sale racks up over $14 million in one second

Late last month, Chinese manufacturing giant, Huawei, released the Honor 30S which is the first smartphone to use the Kirin 820 5G SoC. Today, Honor 30S held its first official sale. According to the company, the Honor 30S’s total sales exceeded 100 million yuan ($14.1 million) in just 1 second.

Zhao Ming, President of  Honor’s Business Department pointed out that the Honor 30S sale on the first day is unprecedented and breaks a lot of records. This smartphone is.  a budget mid-range 5G phone thus the sale performance is not entirely surprising. The Honor 30S has two versions

• 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM – 2399 yuan (~$338)
• 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM – 2699 yuan (~$380)

This smartphone does not use an on-screen fingerprint sensor and it does not use a rear fingerprint solution as well. Huawei incorporated a 2.4 mm ultra-narrow side fingerprint sensor on the one. In the camera department, this smartphone comes with a quad-rear camera setup. It uses a 64MP main camera as well as an 8MP telephoto lens (3x optical zoom), 8MP 120° ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. The Honor 30S 5G comes with a decent 4000 mAh battery that supports 40W super-fast charge. According to the company, this charging capacity can deliver up to 70% in 30 minutes.
