Back in March, Oppo has taken the wraps off its highly-anticipated Oppo Find X2 Pro featuring a premium design with powerful specifications and advanced cameras. Despite its premium appeal, there is an aspect that the handset really lacked – It came in two single color options – Orange Vegan Leather and Ceramic Black. To address this, the company released a third option called Gray Vegan Leather. Now according to Chinese sources, the company is going to unveil a new leather option called Green Vegan. According to the report, the artificial Leather options are hugely popular in China and for that reason, the company wants to expand the portfolio of offerings.
You can have a good idea of how the phone will look thanks to the above image. It’s similar to the Orange Leather version but with a bright green tone this time around. Interestingly enough, the report states that the company will sell this color for the very same price, which currently is CNY 6,999 (~$980/€900). It’s really nice to see such a move from Oppo, after all there are companies that believe it’s okay to charge more $200 for new colors (take that Samsung). Moreover, the new option will arrive with the 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage configuration.
Oppo Find X2 Pro specifications
After an entire year of hiatus, Oppo decided to resume the Oppo Find X series this year through the release of the X2 and X2 Pro. However, gone is the motorized camera concept that debuted with the 2018’s phone. Instead, we have a punch-hole solution for the front-facing snapper. The handset boasts the Snapdragon 865 SoC under the hood which ensures 5G connectivity. Moreover, it’s available in various configurations with 8GB of RAM, 12GB of RAM, and 128GB/256GB of storage.
These specifications are built around a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with whopping Quad HD+ resolution. That’s a resolution that only the most flagship smartphones have nowadays. The display sports HDR10+ support and have a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s a bright panel with up to 800 nits brightness and 1,2000 peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 Color Gamut, and, finally, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. As we said before, the display has a punch-hole for the 32MP front-facing camera. There’s an in-display fingerprint scanner placed below the display.
Moving around to the back, we have a Triple-camera setup comprising a primary 48MP Sony’s IMX689 sensor. Moreover, there is a secondary 48MP 120-degrees ultra-wide IMX586 sensor and a 13MP periscope telephoto module. The handset comes with OIS + EIS, 20x hybrid optical zoom and 60x digital zoom.
The flagship draws power from a 4,260mAh battery with 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 charging. It runs Android 10-based ColorOS 7.1 straight out of the box.
