iPhone 12 could arrive with a 20W fast charger in the box

iPhone 12

In the upcoming fall, we will probably see the iPhone 12 series officially for the first time. Until then, there are rumors about the upcoming smartphones almost every day. For the first time, the iPhone 12 is rumored to be equipped with a 20W charger.

iPhone 12 could arrive with a 20W fast charger in the box

The original iPhone 2007 was equipped with a 5W charger. Since then, not much has been screwed into the charging technology – up to the iPhone 11 Pro. The iPhone 11 Pro is the first model to include an 18W charging adapter. For the first time, it is also a USB-C adapter, which is why a USB-C to Lightning cable is also included in the box. However, this only applies to the iPhone 11 Pro, because the normal iPhone 11 still comes with the classic 5W adapter.

There could be a lot going on with the iPhone 12: As the Leaker Mr White posted on Twitter, the new flagship will be equipped with a 20W adapter. Since the iPhone 12 will be available in four different configurations, it is questionable whether only the Pro variants will again receive the more powerful adapter or whether this will also be found in the cheaper variants.

The iPhone 12 is also said to contain a new 5G modem that supports all frequency bands. While the cheaper models get a traditional Apple camera, the Pro models will probably be equipped with LiDAR and a triple camera.

iPhone 12: iOS 14 beta confirms the 120Hz screen

Shortly after its availability, the developers have installed the Beta version of iOS 14, searching for new unannounced features. In the new iPhone OS this year, under Accessibility, there’s an option in the Motion section. It allows you to “limit” the frame rate displayed on the iPhone screen to 60 frames per second. The question is, even iPhone 11 Pro Max always just uses the screen’s refresh rate of 60Hz. Is this proof that the iPhone 12 will be equipped with a 120Hz panel, at least for the high-end versions?

This option is not available on all supported iPhones that have been upgraded to iOS 14. The only explanation is that this year’s iPhones will feature the same screen technology as the iPad Pro. Previously, there were some rumors that the 120Hz screen will be equipped for the most advanced versions of iPhone 12. And the presence of the “Limit Frame Rate” feature confirms these rumors. However, we will keep you updated on this regard.
