A few days ago, Sony Xperia 5 II got FCC’s certification which indicates that this device is coming soon. Now, there are reports that this device is now on TENAA’s database. According to TENAA, this device comes with model numbers  XQ-AS72 and XQ-AT72. From the listing, this device will support 5G, dual SIM card slots, and will run Android. These two models support the dual-mode 5G network. The main screen of the phone is 6.5 inches and it has a dimension of 166 × 72 × 7.9 mm. Under the hood, there will be a 3860 mAh battery and the place of production of this device is Thailand.

According to previous reports, the Sony Xperia 5 II will be equipped with a Snapdragon 865 chip. It will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It will arrive with a 120Hz refresh rate display and weighs 181 grams.

There is also a mention of another model, XQ-AT42. According to the report, this model will come with up to 12GB of RAM and it should be the top version.

In other respects, Xperia 5 II will use a Zeiss lens. It will arrive with a 12-megapixel main camera (f/1.7), equivalent to a 24mm focal length, a 12-megapixel 124° ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel 3x zoom lens. As for the ToF depth-of-field lens, it is still uncertain.

There have been numerous leaks of this smartphone thus the design is already public knowledge. However, this certification is a confirmation of the speculations on the design. This device will certainly use a MicroSD slot and 3.5mm headphone jack like previous Sony handsets. In addition, this smartphone will come with two extra buttons on the right side of the device. While one of these buttons is probably a shutter button, the other remains a mystery.

Sony will officially release this device at the IFA event on September 17. There are reports that this smartphone will cost $999 in the U.S.
