The Samsung Galaxy S4 launched back in 2018 was a great piece of hardware and had begun to start receiving the Android 10 Update in June 2020. Now, it has been three months since Samsung started rolling out the Android 10 update for the Galaxy Tab S4 with One UI 2.1 and other new included features. Carriers in the United States have a history of often lagging behind when it comes to rolling out updates.  The Verizon Galaxy Tab S4 Android 10 update has now started to rollout three months later from the unitially sent out period.

The Android 10 Update for the Galaxy Tab S4 carries the build number T837VVRU4CTH6, and it runs on Samsung’s One UI 2.1 on top of Android 10. Additionally, there the inclusion of the security patch from last month : the August 2020 security patch, Samsung has not included the OneUI 2.5 update but instead is rolling out OneUI 2.1.

Some new features of the update include Live Transcribe, Sound Amplifier, Focus Mode, gesture navigation, Samsung Daily replacing Bixby Home, and a new Gallery app, Quick Share, Music Share. Additionally, the Device Care section also has been redesigned, and the camera app has an quite an improved layout.

This is a stable build and not a beta, and hence so we recommend users to update their device to this build as soon as possible. The update is based on Android 10 Q. Similar to all the other updates,  this OTA update is rolling out in the U.S over the air. This is a planned rollout so it may take some time to be available in all handsets.

For changes, The update brings software optimization and promises to provide a better user experience. Along with all the optimizations, it also improves the security and performance of the device while bumping up the software version. It also addresses many bugs which were reported in the previous build.

As usual, users should ensure that they back up their data before attempting the download. Also, this update will not arrive on all units at the same time. Thus, if you have not gotten this update, just exercise some patience. Alternatively, you can go to settings to check for available updates manually.
