Huawei is currently testing the proprietary EMUI 11 user interface based on the Android 10 operating system. However, a version based on Android 11 is coming soon.
EMUI 11 based on Android 11 update is being prepared
This is evidenced by a screenshot appeared on the network with a description of the firmware. As expected, with this firmware (EMUI 11 based on Android 11), the Huawei Mate 40 Pro will be on sale in Europe.
Of course, the user interface will still have no Google services and apps due to US sanctions, and will also be based on an open-source version of Android.
Huawei is currently testing EMUI 11 with Android 10 in various countries. Beta firmware versions are offered to users of Huawei P40 and Mate 30 Pro series smartphones. Following the release of the stable version of EMUI 11, we can expect a gradual transition from Android 10 to Android 11.
The presentation of the Huawei Mate 40 flagship series is scheduled for October 22.

EMUI 11 beta testing has started for 10 device models: Huawei P40 / P40 Pro / P40 Pro+, Mate 30 (LTE / 5G) / Mate 30 Pro (LTE / 5G) / Mate 30 RS Porsche Design, MatePad Pro (LTE / 5G) ). Subsequently, this list will expand; and the new version of the user interface will come to more than 50 devices of the company.
