Samsung is now gearing up for its next-gen flagship smartphones under the Galaxy S21 series. The lineup will consist of three devices namely Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra. We’ve been hearing about these devices for a couple of months now. Yesterday, we reported that the lineup will launch sooner than we expect it to. Earlier today, a new leak added to the already growing roster and revealed everything we need to know about the availability of the device.
Galaxy S21: Samsung to drop bundled AKG earbuds in favor of its wireless Galaxy Buds Beyond!
To top things off, we’re now looking at another leak of the day. As per the new development coming out of South Korea, Samsung is now planning to remove the bundled AKG earphones with its new lineup. Before you go ahead and decide that the chaebol is now following the footsteps of Apple, we have something more to add. The same report further adds that Samsung is thinking of replacing the AKG earphones with its yet-to-be-revealed Galaxy Buds Beyond.
Gizchina News of the week
For those who’re unaware, the Galaxy Buds Beyond is reportedly the company’s successor to the Galaxy Buds Plus. The South Korean giant has even registered the trademark a couple of days ago. Well, whatever moniker the next-gen TWS earbuds will feature, the good thing is the Galaxy S21 lineup will come bundled with the same. The next-gen Galaxy Buds Beyond will of course fall above the $150+ price segment. If that’s the case, the bundled wireless buds will increase the device’s overall value.
Samsung already has been offering its wireless Galaxy Buds with its new flagship devices on pre-booking. As a part of the offer, the TWS earbuds are available for free in some regions while the brand reduces the payable amount in other markets. Considering that offers in mind, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the brand offering its wireless earbuds with the new Galaxy S21 trio. There is also a possibility of the company to go with an affordable wireless Galaxy Buds but we’re just speculating here.
Is Samsung taking a jab at Apple?
Apple recently launched its iPhone 12 series with no earphones, chargers, or anything. Soon after the launch, Samsung couldn’t resist and decide to take a jab at the company by posting memes on its social channels. The addition of TWS earbuds with Galaxy S21 trio will definitely be yet another way of taking the jab at the iPhone maker. We recommend readers to take this with a pinch of salt as nothing is official.
