Xiaomi Mi 11

Xiaomi will not abandon its experiments with flagship smartphones and the next in line is the Xiaomi Mi 11 family. In January or February next year, we may have a reason to talk about what the new top-end devices of the company have become. In the meantime, we can only be content with rumors and leaks about the new products of the Xiaomi Mi 11 line.

New details on the specs of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 11

The Digital Chat Station informant once again distinguished himself, saying that the main camera of the smartphone will be improved, first of all, due to the new ultra-wide-angle sensor. According to him, the 13-megapixel module, which was installed in the Xiaomi Mi 10, will be replaced by a 48-megapixel sensor with a pixel size of 0.8 microns each. It may be a coincidence, but rumor has it that in the case of the iPhone 13, it is also decided to take the path of improving the wide-angle sensor. Improvements in optical image stabilization should also be available.

What other sensors will be installed in the Xiaomi Mi 11 camera is not reported. But with a high degree of probability, a 108-megapixel module will be the main one. The company has already confirmed that it plans to launch new flagships based on the Snapdragon 875, and these will be the first devices from China with the new platform from Qualcomm. Among the improvements are also an increase in fast charging power, a 4900 mAh battery, a display with an increased hertz cycle and, possibly, its resolution will be QuadHD+.

Mi 10 Pro removed from official stores to make way for the Xiaomi Mi 11

In February of this year, the premiere of the flagships Xiaomi Mi 10 and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro took place. These smartphones have identical design and specs; except that the Pro version is available with 12/512 GB, but the basic version is not; and the other differences concerned the fast-charging power and the main camera. Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro has the advantage of a zoom periscope lens with 5x optical zoom. Now, it seems that the company is preparing for its successors – the Xiaomi Mi 11 series.

Gizchina News of the week

Now, almost 8 months after the release of the Mi 10 series; it disappeared from the shelves of the largest online stores and even from the official store of the company. Everything indicates that we are not dealing with a shortage; but with the fact that Xiaomi has cut production of the Mi 10 Pro.

We can assume that the company took this step to promote the Xiaomi Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition or Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. But no, because the flagship has left the race at the initiative of the company itself. Lei Jun made a statement that the demand for the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra exceeded all expectations; and thanked the fans for such a warm welcome of the device. The company only needs to sell the remaining small stock of this smartphone.

It looks like the manufacturer is clearing the production lines for the Xiaomi Mi 11; creating a shortage for the company’s flagship models. The new generation of flagships should be available early next year; and this will be the first product of the Chinese smartphone manufacturers with Snapdragon 875 on board.
