The market of wearable devices is trending in 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. This segment that comprises smartwatches, smart bands, TWS audio devices, and other related tech is growing exponentially thanks to the wide availability of competitive and affordable products from distinct brands. Nowadays, there are plenty of affordable smartwatches offering a nice set of useful features. Today, ZTE unveiled the ZTE Watch Live in China that comes with a nice set of specs and a super affordable $35 price tag.

The ZTE Watch Live may be a cheap smartwatch, but it does not disappoint in design. The wearable packs a nice 1.3-inch Square TFT touch-screen display with 240 x 240 pixels of resolution. It comes with ZTE’s proprietary software for a smartwatch that allows its battery to last up to 21 days on a single charge. Of course, this is only achievable with light usage. With normal usage, the company promise 14 days on a single charge.

The software is also packed with health-centric features. For instance, it comes with support for 24-hours heart rate monitoring. It also includes a blood oxygen saturation tracker. This is a highly-requested feature in 2020 since it allows you to monitor your oxygen levels amidst a COVID-19 suspicion. The device also has sleep tracking, a feature that is a standard nowadays. When it comes to sport-tracking, the wearable comes with support for notable sports like walking, running, swimming, cycling, and others.

The wearable comes with Bluetooth 4.2 and you can use it to pair with your smartphone. As usual, it comes with support for notifications, incoming calls, reminders, and alarms. You can also get the weather forecast and use the wearable as a remote camera controller, for music control, and as a sedentary reminder.

In case you’re wondering, the smartwatch does come with an IP68 rating. It ensures resistance to dust and water under certain conditions. Moreover, its silica gel wristband is skin-friendly and you always get third-party ones since it is detachable. The wearable has 40.6 x 34.6 x 10.8 overall dimensions and weighs just 35.7 grams.

The new smartwatch is quite cheap in China. It costs just 229 Yuan which is around $35. The device is available for pre-orders while the actual shipments will start on December 3. Unfortunately, there still no word regarding International availability.
