In late February this year, Redmi released a new generation of RedmiBook Pro notebooks. They came with Intel’s 11th generation Core standard processors. Also, this series was available in 14 and 15.6-inch sizes. The lowest variant costs 4499 yuan ($704).
Three months later, today the RedmiBook Pro Ryzen Edition was officially released. Like the Intel version, this one also offers two sizes of 14 and 15.6-inches. But the starting price is 4299 yuan ($673).
These versions use the Ryzen 5000 series processors with the latest “Zen 3” architecture, a 7nm process, up to 8 cores and 16 threads.
The RedmiBook Pro 15 Ryzen Edition has two configurations:
- R5 5600H+16GB+512GB SSD, the first special price is 4799 yuan ($751);
- R7 5800H+16GB+512GB SSD, the first special price is 5299 yuan ($829);
The AMD Ryzen 7 5800H mobile processor uses a 7nm process, has 8 cores and 16 threads. Its base frequency is 3.2GHz and the maximum acceleration frequency is 4.4GHz.
The RedmiBook Pro 14 Ryzen Edition also has two configurations:
- R5 5500U+16GB+512GB SSD, the first special price is 4299 yuan ($673);
- R7 5700U+16GB+512GB SSD, the first special price is 4699 yuan ($735);

The appearance, screen, battery and other aspects are consistent with the previous Intel Core version. The RedmiBook Pro uses a metal body. Also, it uses CNC integrated molding technology and an aviation-grade aluminum alloy material. There is a two-in-one power button with an integrated fingerprint recognition scanner. The keyboard is backlit.

The RedmiBook Pro 14 has a screen resolution of 2560×1440 and a screen-to-body ratio of about 88.2%. It supports 100% sRGB color gamut, 178° wide viewing angle, DC dimming and has a TUV Rheinland low blue light certification.
The 56WH large battery can be quickly charged through the USB-C interface and a 65W charger.
As for the RedmiBook Pro 15, it has a 3200×2000 resolution, and supports 90Hz high refresh rate. This screen also supports 100% sRGB color gamut, 178° wide viewing angle, DC dimming and comes with the same TUV Rheinland low blue light certification.
Its 70WH large battery will get power from the USB-C interface and a 100W charger.
The RedmiBook Pro Ryzen Edition continues using the hurricane cooling system. It uses two heat pipes, two fans and all-copper radiators to ensure efficient heat dissipation and a quieter experience. At the same time, it also supports the Fn+K performance smart selection mode, and supports three modes of quiet | balance | extreme speed adjustment.
In terms of interfaces, the RedmiBook Pro provides 3.5mm earphones, HDMI 1.4 video output, 1 USB 2.0, 1 USB 3.2, 1 Thunderbolt 4, 1 USB-C, etc.
