OnePlus Nord N200 will only get one major Android version update

OnePlus officially unveiled the OnePlus Nord N200 5G globally this week. The 4GB + 64GB version is selling for $239 and this is the cheapest 5G smartphone currently on sale by OnePlus. According to recent reports, OnePlus officially confirmed in an interview that OnePlus Nord N200 will only receive a three-year security patch update. Unfortunately, the official also confirms that this device will get only one major Android version update.

OnePlus Nord N200 is pre-installed with an Android 11-based Oxygen OS. This means that this smartphone will get only the Android 12 update officially. Of course, there is always the option of unofficial builds. We can not be too sure that these unofficial builds will be available. 

The OnePlus Nord N200 is an entry-level smartphone that comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chip. This device uses a 6.49-inch 2400 x 1080 LTPS LCD screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. In addition, the device also uses LPDDR4x storage and UFS 2.1 storage. This smartphone also supports microSD card expansion to 256 and runs on OxygenOS on top of Android 11. The OnePlus Nord N200 also supports a fingerprint recognition sensor.

In the camera department, this smartphone uses a 16MP front camera. Furthermore, it comes with a triple rear camera setup which includes a 13MP + 2MP + 2MP configuration. Under the hood, there is a 5000 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. This device is 8.3 mm thick, weighs 189g, supports dual-frequency GPS, and retains a 3.5mm headphone port. It also supports a USB Type-C interface, NFC, as well as Bluetooth 5.1.

The OnePlus Nord N2000 5G costs $239 and it is currently available in Blue Quantum colour. In the U.S., users can get this device from T-Mobile and Metro. Furthermore, online retailers such as Amazon, B&H, and Best Buy will officially commence sales of this device from June 25th.
